  • Tuning the white noise

    Just finished reading "Fast Food Nation" so naturally I cower in fear and sob uncontrollably every time I catch a glimpse of Ronald McDonald. Via stomachs worldwide, I'm beginning to wonder if the fast food chain is slowly becoming a fast food empire.

    Typing here, indulging some self-satisfying whim to narrate my thoughts-I can't help but feel spoiled.

    Here is the internet; the conveniance store of mass communication ...

    and all I can do is think and write about myself.

     

    *arkward silence*

    So yeah...three cheers for blogging eh?

  • Cutting the bull

    " Cows want to run"

    That's the slogan behind a new feminist movement for well...ahem...cows.

    Woman in Pamplona are demanding an all-female cow run to serve as an alternate "equal opportunity" version of the famous Encierro; Running of the Bulls located in the same area.

    So let's get this straight

    The animal rights activists are protesting in the buff against the mistreatment and slaughter of the bulls; the feminists want equality for the cows, meaning they want the cows to be treated exactly like their bull-counterparts. For different reasons- both agree to cut the bull. Meanwhile the environmentalists have taken to bulls...bullshit that is(well sort of) and are studying bull/cow farts to determine the amount of methane in them which will thus decide whether or not they play a large role in the greenhouse effect.

    Strange times...

  • Vicariously yours

    Hello there anonymous reader. If you're reading this then you are a voyeur of some sorts and I think it's time you acknowledge this hard-felt truth.

    *cue condescending pat on head*

    -SMACK.-

    Yes well that was well-deserved.

    Anywho back to the mantra of "me, and I"  Not so much myself-fallen out of touch with that one.

    I don't know how many times over this past weekend that I've heard the phrase, "friends with benefits" and frankly I'm sick of it. I've yet to meet a person that offers you a 401k plan and free dental healthcare for sleeping with them.

    This is very misleading., especially when you're drunk and looking for financial stability.

    Well I'm here to rant and to put my self-importance on display just like the rest of you so we have that much in common. See once step closer towards being "friends". The best of...the bff kind.

    If I find a way to amuse or enlighten or annoy at least one person here then this social-network known as xanga isn't a complete waste.
